Jim Moeller
Owner of The New York Butcher Shoppes - Birmingham Cahaba Heights and Birmingham Greystone
2019 Alabama Retailer's Association State of Alabama Retailer of the Year
"After 2008, I was looking to get into the retail business, specifically the food business because people gotta eat! After hearing about the New York Butcher Shoppe from family in Greenville, my interest was piqued. I tried the products and talked with customers who raved about the Shoppe. I knew that Birmingham, a foodie town in its own right, didn’t have a place offering such superior quality at such a high standard. I opened my first Shoppe in 2010 and the store quickly became a success allowing me to open my second store in 2019. My favorite part of owning a New York Butcher Shoppe franchise is the relationships I have built with customers and staff. Getting to control my own destiny and having the ability to make my Shoppe unique while maintaining the core Brand Principles is what makes ownership of a New York Butcher Shoppe franchise so worthwhile."
Greg and Kayce Fowler
Owners of The New York Butcher Shoppe Ponte Vedra
"The New York Butcher Shoppe is a perfect blend of our professional strengths. Greg was an executive chef for years and moved up to the Director of Operations of a multi-store company prior to NYBS Ownership. I was a high-volume bartender and front-of-house manager with a specialty in Marketing and Sales. We have a passion for high-quality food and building relationships with the people within our community. Being owners of The New York Butcher Shoppe allows us to get the best of the culinary world without sacrificing time with our family. The proven systems that are in place for the brand helped us transition into ownership as hands-on operators and train our staff effectively. After we saw what Covid-19 did to restaurants, we knew we needed something with more security during circumstances out of our control, and The New York Butcher Shoppe was the best decision we could have made. We could not imagine doing anything differently that would be better for our family."
